Windows 10 PPTP VPN says "hayibo"

Today I tried to connect to a remote site with a PPTP VPN connection, and got a connection failed error message. (I know the shizzle about PPTP VPN, but the networking guys need to get OpenVPN (or something better) up and running... and they're overloaded atm.

Tried changing the settings on Win10, no luck. Disabled firewall as well.

No cigar.

Opened a Windows 7 VM on my laptop, set the same PPTP VPN connection up, success.

WTF BillG?

Anybody having the same issue?

Based on this, we're going to roll out OpenVPN and/or any stronger VPN's.

About time too.

Not worth the hassle to try and get it to work.

You would be surprised how many big companies still have PPTP VPN's. Im taking about companies with multiple CCIE's.
