Just got an article forwarded from the Netherlands. (Sorry it is in dutch.)

According to this site Pirated version won't receive the full version of Windows 10, and legal versions of current windows version will receive the full version of windows 10 for a year, after that they have to pay up. Looks like micro$osft is very sneaky.

Ok according to you link looks like people upgrading can have a lifetime license, but new installations not. Will be interesting to see how this all pans out. (Micro$oft is probably the only ones to know their true intentions).

Moklet, your source is unreliable and/or full of nonsense. They either don't understand English properly, or they are being less than truthful.

1. Existing Windows 7 and Windows 8.x users can upgrade to Windows 10.

2. The upgrade for existing Win 7/8 users will be free for 12 months from Win 10 general availability.

3. The upgrade will be valid for the life of the device.

4. Microsoft have not said that they will charge for the upgrade after 12 months from GA. All they have said is that upgrades will be free for a year.

Note carefully Point 3 above.
