As to TPM... that is what most people complain about.
TPM provides some pretty nice capabilities for security.

You might feel different. Thats irrelevant though.

I'm just asking for clarity. You said the TPM problem is why it's great. I'm trying to understand how the TPM problem makes windows 11 great.

Windows 11 is terrible and I avoid it at all costs, block updates, reinstall Windows 10, etc.

Especially bad at supporting, compared to Windows 10.

Three quick examples:

1. Setting of default apps – so easy in 10
2. No more Devices & Printers (shell workaround but not the same)
3. Right-click menus.

I bought a RYZEN 5 2400G the end of 2019 for my media machine. Win 11 came out 2 years later. I can't upgrade to 11 even though the next iteration the 3400G is pretty much the same CPU which is supported.
I really do like 11. Things are neater, not half baked between Win 7/8 and something new. And I find it more neater and organized. I had no real issues with Win 10 though, not a hater of the OS.
But Win11 gave me tabbed explorer tabs - and that honestly is such a nice feature for me. And I don't want to use a third party app to achieve this. And MS, can't actually tell me why my CPU is not supported.

The 2400G uses a gen 1 Zen core (like Ryzen 1000), where the 3400G is a Zen+ core ( like Ryzen 2000). The G series CPUs generally have one generation older cores than the non G series.

But the limitation is likely arbitrary in your case, so you could be a good candidate for installing windows 11 through bypassing the requirement. Have a look at creating a windows 11 iso with Rufus, which can remove the requirement for you.

If you say "keep windows 10",it gives you a another screen asking to download windows 11 in the background.

If I look at what friends run and their kids. Most use hand me down office machines. Ie with my company every 3 years when the laptop's warranty expire we can buy it for about R300, and then our company orders a new one.

Even with desktops, so many use the old HP or Dell Desktops, slot in a GT 1030 graphics or even onboard graphics is great for Roblox, Fortnite, etc. I mean the Intel HD 530 graphics chipset is about the level of a GT 720, which is great for many old and some new basic games. Sure the quality is a bit lower but it works.

Then friends with gaming machines havent seen the need to spend fortunes again on their pcs. A lot run between 3rd and 6th gen machines with hectic graphics cards. Money is tight.

Oh most companies wont use the latest version due to security issues etc. They will run a version before. So Windows 10.

But my experience of Windows 11? Yip it feels like the 1st version of Windows 8 before they added the task bar. Honestly hate it. When something works, keep it, dont try and reinvent the wheel the whole time.
