Hi All

I am running Win7b1 as my primary OS... thought it would be a good idea to remove the watermark... downloaded the script and * voila * now watermark gone...

BUT...

so it seems is compatibility mode options. Grrrrrrr. Silly me.

It seems that the two actions are linked.

I have need of the following... a Win7Beta1 user32.dll.mui (from anpatched watermark build) file as well as the following registry keys to be exported and re-imported...

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\SystemCertificates\CA\Certificates]

So.. could some really * nice * and friendly Win7beta1 user out there who still has the watermark be able to oblige with the above request...

The other solution is a re-install... which would be a real pity.

* sigh * must fiddle with what is not broke I must.

i could do it for you, but it will have to be after work since only my pc at home has windows 7 on it.

btw, i had the same problem, but a system restore worked for me.

Hi thriel

I have tried a sfc... no luck... will try a restore...

If that not work... then that would be gr8!

I removed the watermark but my compatibility options are still there. Maybe we used different methods. I have a patch that removes the watermarks from the betas of Vista, Server 2008, 7 and Server 2008 R2.

Hi DeFunct

My options are still there...

However, selecting ANY of them results in an error. Seems like I am not alone in my woes. Others are reporting the same issues... with different removal methods the same broken compat issues.

* sighs *

Off to try a restore now...
