Good day all you smart people

I have a bit of a dilemma. I am accessing a Virtual Machine, and I set the Internet Explorer Browser Settings in order to allow ActiveX controls (because of the software I'm using).

Anyway, I log in as an administrator, set up the Internet Explorer as I need to, and it works. The problem that I am experiencing - for every user that logs on to the VM, the browser settings need to be changed again. Because of the level of end-users understanding, I end up having to log in with their credentials and setting it for them. As you can imagine, this is a lengthy process seeing that I am using 20 VMs and each VM has an average of 3 users logging into it.

Is there a way to set up "global settings" so that the ActiveX controls will be consistent for all users logging in? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

1. Get rid of internet explorer
2. If you cant then this is really bad

Surely you should be able to do this through Group Policy.

You can set all this up through Group Policy. Users will still get that Welcome to Internet Explorer carp when they open it for the first time though.

Thank you for this - I'll give it a tinker and see how it goes...
