Hi

I have a machine with 2 500gig drives. Decided to mirror disk0 to disk1. Everything synced perfectly.

Not exactly knowing much about raids, mirroring etc, i took disk0 out and tried to boot from disk1 to make sure that it worked. Nothing came up except for a binking line on a black screen. I put both drives like it was previously and still get the same thing.

What did i break? How do i get it back, or atleast recover the data that is on there.

Thanks

The windows 7 mirror tool.

If you right click on mt computer and click on manage. Then you goto disk managements. You can mirror 2 drives

Interesting, I didn't know it had a software raid build in.

edit:Have you tried switching the boot order around again?

Neither did I, best bet is checking the boot order is in check. It would be disk0 as primary and disk1 as secondary. If the bootloader still doesn't show up you could then try a repair with the Windows 7 disk.
