windows 7 network, sudden loss of computer

Hi i currently have a problem with networking
Both laptops run windows 7 ultimate
Both on one modem
Both on wifi - work network
Both have network discover on and all is in order

Switched both laptops on and was working fine
Using it to read files of the one laptop etc.
After 15 minutes it can no longer discover each other.
After restarting both laptops its okay
This normally happens once a week
Any ideas why?

Channel interference? Switch to another channel and see if problem is resolved.

Hi There,
You could try changing the channel in the router as The_Librarian suggested. I just wanted to clarify that though. It is the router that you would change the channel on. It is not possible to change the channel on the laptops.

Certificate expiring? The laptop will use whatever channel you specify on the router
