I recently upgraded to a new laptop with Windows 7 from a XP machine. Got the 2Gb stick installed and working after a few attempts.
The u/l and d/l speeds I'm getting on speedtest are comparable with the results I got on my old computer, but the ping is far worse. Where I used to get 50-60ms on the XP machine, I now get 500-600ms on Windows 7. http://www.speedtest.net/result/1124248771.png

I did some searches and tried some registry edits and settings suggested on other forums, but to no avail.
I'd appreciate some advice on what could cause this and what to do to fix it.
