When i leave my pc off for an extented period it shuts the monitor off, keyboard and mouse and i have to unplug it.

When i power it back on it says resuming windows, i have turned put computer to sleep off.

hibernate and standby are two different things

check power schemes and set everything to always on, u can switch of your monitor manually when u go afk

Yea i got hibernate and sleep turned off, i think i found the problem though, it keeps putting sleep at 30 minutes even though i tell it never :).

Why would you want to turn off such a good feature?

I use sleep and it hasn't effect my PC in any way (unlike WinXP sleep).

Well because last night i had windows 7 beta build 7048 downloading and was going to load it this morning but i woke to find my pc had gone to sleep shut and never download the file because it basically went to sleep.

So it is annoying when you leave download over-night and 30 minutes later your pc goes to sleep or hibernates to the point everything basically turns off.

Mhh, that's never happened to me. I recently downloaded the UT3 Patch and Pack (1.2 GB) overnight. Maybe your BIOS is setup to sleep?

Thing is my pc never did this with vista so i would imagine it's a windows 7 bug or something, or maybe i forgot to click apply when i told it not to sleep last night :p

When you say you turned the sleep to never do you mean in the power saving option? Cause I turned mine to performance and stopped putting it to sleep after how ever long :)
