hi guys i keep getting the above mentioned error when i try to log on to a newly created user account. it's a secondary account which i was planning to use to do work in but i can't log in. my current account works fine though

i have read through all the guides on the web about this problem but mine differs slightly.
in the guides they mention going to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\ProfileList

and changing a .BAK file to a normal file.

the problem is that there is no profile at all for this user account, therefore no .bak to change.
my normal profile shows up fine but no matter how many accounts i create, i am unable to logon and the profile does not appear in the profile list mentioned above.
the guide:
http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorial...-failed-logon-user-profile-cannot-loaded.html

can anyone help me? i am in desperate need to get this fixed :(

thanks

ps. i am running a lenovo Y500 laptop. the pc in my sig got stolen but i have no idea how to change it

To turn UAC on or off

Open User Account Control Settings by clicking the Start button Picture of the Start button, and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type uac, and then click Change User Account Control settings.

Do one of the following:

To turn off UAC, move the slider to the Never notify position, and then click OK. Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. You will need to restart your computer for UAC to be turned off.

To turn on UAC, move the slider to choose when you want to be notified, and then click OK. Administrator permission required If you're prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.
