HI
So I brought a new machine, and Iv successfully installed windows 7Proffesional version. However, on random occasions during bootup the pc will blue screen. (The crash is random. Im using the Pc right now to issue this thread. the PC does not crash all the time or after boot.) Iv already run a verison of xp on the machine with no hassles. Im pretty sure its not a software (drivers, outside programs) problem, and that instead it could be something with hardware or BIOS problem. Iv already tried a different HDD (IDE) with a version of windows 7 and the same problem occured at the same time during bootup (When the Windows 7 logo glows). At the moment the machine is running an AMD processor, in x64. the 2nd HDD was x86 OS.

This is pretty frustrating:twisted:, so anyone with any usefull info, please be a good guy

How often does it happen?
In the last 6 months I've only had one blue screen, and that was after my dog thought it would be nice to tug on the laptop power supply and pulled it off the table.

It ran a System Repair after that and I've never had it again.

Maybe try a new clean install.

I had a similar problem, but my blue-screen only happened once I ran the system rating.... this meant it was hardware related, and thus replaced my graphics card...
Are you doing anything specific when you blue-screen?
