windows 7 starter to ultimate on netbook

just do a custom install when you get to the 2 choices of a upgrade or custom.Remember you will be getting windows old folder on the c drive ,here you can filter out the crap and delete the folder

will my original progs on the starter ed. still be there? ie. office already installed etc.

No, that would require reinstallation. Best bet is using the Upgrade feature which would retain all your installed software/files and settings.
If all fails, just use the method dablakmark8 and reinstall Office.

Its easy but sometimes one runs into problems when upgrading:whistle:.I normally just custom install on a clients pc.I know windows 7 is perfect and bill is an ass......we all know how perfect win OS is:D

If you have a copy of your installed software and a backup of your data....i say go for the custom install.
We should have a poll on this.
