I am experiencing a DNS problem on an HP Pavilion laptop running Windows 7.
Even though the DNS is correctly entered & the laptop is connected to the wireless network successfully, I receive an error [Windows 7 DNS server not responding].
No other workstations on the network experience problems. All these are running Windows XP Professional.
The problem is intermittent. I have read that some other people have experienced similar issues & that by disabling the WAN Miniports they got it to work. I have done this & it works for a while. Disconnected from the network, reconnect & no DNS again.
It also seems that if one tries to connect via VPN, during the connection process the DNS is also broken again.
It is extremely bizarre & I have never encountered something so temperamental & unpredictable to solve.
Any ideas?!?
