Windows 7, theme change with VNC

Any else have this problem or know a solution to it?
Windows 7 ultimate on my desktop
XP on laptop

Every now & then i use VNC to connect to the desktop from the laptop
The desktop pic on the W7 PC goes black as normal but then it loses the theme settings & creates a new unsaved theme with just one desktop picture (the one that was on at the time) I then have to go & select the theme i was using & delete this newly created "unsaved theme"

No idea why this shoudl happen. All works fine with Remote Desktop. Which VNC are you using?
