Seriously, Does MS have to churn out another OS so soon? FFS, I really dont feel for them anymore that all their software gets pirated. They have now incorporated the MS Office 2010 ribbon into their new OS' explorer, and I must say that whats the point? creating a button called copy is still less efficient than doing a Ctrl + C etc. It seems that they are trying to do away with the right click feature(there goes the old "can your OS right click?" joke)

I happen to like the ribbon.
Ribbon aside, i'm really excited about being able to access ISO's and VHD straght from Explorer, i just hope it is more successful that there built zip functionality.
And the whole Touch based UI is FREAKING AWESOME!!!

Ja, I don't mind the Ribbon ... it looks quite nice actually.

I just hope they fix the weird quirks that Windows 7 has with file management.

You can hide it you know (see the arrow near the help button). That's actually pretty useful. I can see myself using it for sure. IMO that feature is there to make Win8 more adaptable to other devices that don't require a mouse.

Also, Windows 8 will probably not be released any time soon.

it's all about personal choice I guess, after what MS did with Win 7 after the cock up that was Vista, I'm keen to see if they can deliver again, it all looks like a converging path to me, between MS Office and the ribbon as well as a similar interface to WP 7, standardisation across all platforms will help to decrease development costs as well product management.

Maybe you missed this part:
Microsoft is focussing a lot on making Windows 8 a lot more touch friendly, and it is not all about their Metro based interface.
How would you implement traditional right-click commands on a touch screen device?

looks clunky- Im not the biggest fan of using one os for multiple systems. you either going to end up with huge icons, or you going to end up squinting and zooming in on your smaller devices. This is sort of mid way between the two. big ugly looking icons that are still too small and close together for smaller devices.

O gaad no. Now you will have that blasted Word ribbon throughout

It opens up opportunities for application developers as well. I don't see the problem with it
