Windows 8 Upgrade Assistance

Hello,

Currently i have 2 windows 7 keys.

If i used the 1 key to do an upgrade, and don't like it. can i go back to using my windows 7 and use the key that i upgraded to windows 8 ? or is it not recognized anymore ?
