Windows 9 unveiled in April: report

As a MCSE, Microsoft please go shove a carrot up your ass. Im done studying myself to death because of your BS release time lines.
 
Could they have not brought back all they removed in an update, to Windows 8.1?

It sounds nice, I hope we get to see the return of the glassy Windows Aero GUI as well as the Windows Classic GUI...
 
Hope 9 is desktop friendly. I hate tablet orientated operating systems on a desktop PC. Having said that, Mavericks on the Mac is no different.

lol. If you can't keep up to date with technology you become irrelevant. Maybe you need another career path then.
 
No new CEO, and yet we're all supposed to believe they've finally figured out what's wrong.

New CEOs love to rock the boat, axe some heads, and challenge direction; Whilst I certainly don't wish for either Windows' demise or the creation of another IBM, but without a captain, surely they're currently far too overwhelmed with cock fights to be able to steer their Titanic amiss of all the icebergs let alone be in a position to deliver a memorable cruise.

...and that makes no provision for a possibility that the new CEO could be a f---up of equal measure to Blackberry, HP, Nokia, ...
 
Maybe it's just 8.2 and has the projects codename is 9?
 
the pace between releases are very quick... gone are the times of a release lasting a few years i guess. Many people & companies are still pondering over whether to upgrade to Win8.
i suppose we'll also move more towards more package-less & disk-less installs? With releases coming & going so quick, retailers will have to manage stock keeping quite well, not to sit with old stock.
not that media-less, license only, software packs from MS is new anymore
 
freaking hell, vista was released in 2007 There have been two OS since then. Before that xp was released in 2001. These bastards have discovered that there is a lot of money to be made by making people upgrade all the time.
 
M$ should rename Windows to Baldy or Ballmy in honour of Ballmer finally realising that his time was up. This will allow them to restart the numbering. Ballmy 1.0 has a nice ring to it.
 
The other big challenge is trying to convince people to spend money for an another Wx upgrade when many of the other popular OSs are free
 
Maybe they should make it a free DL like Mavericks. Poor sods who just upgraded to 8. I'm waiting till October for Windows X, when they change the core to BSD.

To all the Service Technicians and administrators that boycotted the installation of windows 8 worldwide.

Just shows what can be achieved in 12 months if we all think as one.

Windows 9 is Windows 7 re-invented with aesthetics only. Nothing to shout about.
Also the upgrade from Windows 7 is seamless.
Drivers for almost every Plug and play device.
Oh one more thing Windows 9 is not coming for FREE like Windows 8 did.
Retail will be about R1500 for the home user.
Retail will be about R2500 for the Business user.

So don't ever think No company no matter how big they are is unshakable.
