Windows background disappearing

After many years my Windows 10 background has taken to disappearing. Anyone know why and how to fix it?

Depends, is it blank (black) or the default windows one?


Do you set one and then it changes?

Mine disappeared and Microsoft said it was because no updates had been done
It was up to date at that day
I re-installed it and it came back

• Check shuffle wallpaper settings
• Check activation status
• Make sure you are logged in to correct User account and not a temporary account
• Did you switch it off and on again ?

Windows is hinting that your health is suffering from having one wallpaper for Years.

I load my computer up, get past my lock screen and then my wallpaper image comes up with my desktop. About 10-20 seconds later it turns to a blue image with dots every 10 or so pixels. Plot twist, the top 5% of my screen is still the wallpaper though. This is weird.

Did you pay your TV licence?
