Hi!

I need URGENT HELP... stuck in India and the place I booked into offered free Wifi, but when I connect to their network, my computer tells me "Windows cannot find a certificate to log you on to the wireless network" (may not be the exact words). I've had this problem once before and couldn't get it sorted. I've googled it, and the solution that was given, was to go to that network's properties, to go to the "authentication" section, and then uncheck the box ""Enable IEEE 802.1x authentication for this network".

PROBLEM: I don't have this option avalable to me - the whole section is "greyed out", with a message at the bottom "IEEE 802.1x authentication can no operate on peer to peer (ad hoc) networks or on networks for which data encryption is disabled".

WHAT NOW??

Thanks!

Follow-up:

Actually, in the "authentication" tab, I don't think I get that message at the bottom, just the whole section is greyed out.

The network properties are: WPA-PSK authentication; Data-encryption is AES.
