I have Win7 installed on 1 HDDisk and Win8 Consumer preview on a different hhd (2 Partitions). I installed Win8 and encountered a few issues and ended up not using it. Last night I logged into Win8 again an it showed me there were updated that needed to be installed and automatically logged off to install updated. After reboot the same thing happend over and over again. I gave up and went back to Win7 on different HDD. Upon Startup I get Window failed to start error.

Reparing windows option does not resolve issue.
Booting in Safe mode does not work ether.

Windows just load up until windows boot screen before log in page.

Drive that win7 is installed on is very low on disk space I think it was 480mb be shutting down the last time. Could this be causing the Issue.?

Virus... I did insert an infected stick yesterday  .. Tonight I'll boot with a NimbleX stick and free up some disk space and see if this help. Otherwise I'll format Win8 drive and try out Linux (First time user). I downloaded both Feroda 16 and Ubuntu 12.04 which one is better?

Maybe something wrong with the boot loader, think it's installed in the MBR or somewhere like that. Can be repaired from the recovery console which is accessible from the install DVD. Not saying that's definitely the problem but could've gotten messed up with second Windows install.

I ended up just installing Ubuntu 12.04 .. Is there something like LogmeIn or TeamViewer available for Ubuntu?
