hello all ... i have a OCZ Vector SSD 128gig as my primary windows drive. Of late with the eskom load shedding my pc when booted comes up with a notification that drive c: has some errors and needs to be repaired ...

so my question is:

1. how do i prevent this from happening or at least mitigate it to some degree? Some googling shows this is common with SSDs after power failures?
2. running sfc /scannow shows some system files are corrupted ... where do i find these files. And is it possible to point the command to my windows DVD so that it can automatically fix these

below is my log ...

Just my 2 cents..
Had the exact same SSD, caused me endless problems with drive errors etc.
Then firmware got updated, not even a few months later and it failed.

Got it swapped out for a Crucial SSD, far better now.

If you running a PC , get a UPS for a safe shut down.
Notebook should be fine.

Agree with the UPS, even a small one will be fine (as long as rated power is enough for your PC) as you only need 2 mins or so to shut down the PC. Just make sure it has a USB port and software that can manage the auto shutdown. With the first load shedding in 2009 I lost a normal HDD because of load shedding. Any PC should have a UPS, especially if you leave it on unattended.
