a bit of a rant really...

You would think that after so many different versions of Windows, that they would come up with a quality Black skin for at least Windows 7. (IE the background in File Explorer to be permanently black with White text etc... )

As much as I love windows, I find Microsoft to be rather one sided on this issue. Sure, Black text on White is a default standard for most, but there are people who prefer the latter!

If for example you get into your Personalization settings in Win 7, you can select the High Contrast options... which truely looks pathetic! No Glass, no transparancy, no bling at all!.

I've come across one or two skins in the past, but there was always something wrong with it.

all due respect to who likes it, but Windows Blinds really sux, causes problems with some windows utilities like media player and some codecs... and i am a little critical over software that you are expected to pay for that doesn't work 100%...

+1 avoid windowblinds at all cost.

I bought it some time ago but had to just stop using it, it creates bugs with the UI and they don't bother fixing it because it may break older themes.

Stick to themes that use the native theme engine.

Check www.deviantart.com, they have a very big theming community and I'm sure you will find a few decent themes for Windows 7 there. I'm just not sure how far the uxtheme patching on win7 has progressed.

I used to use windows blinds when i was using xp, why dont you go check if there is a version compatible with vista/Win7

+1
My father used to say that installing Windows Blinds is like sleeping with your sister. Sure she's a great piece of tail, with a blouse full of goodies, but... it's just illegal. Then you get into that whole inbred thing. Kids with no teeth who do nothing but play the banjo... eat apple sauce through a straw... pork farm animals.
