Okay, I've got windows live messenger, but since last night it doesn't want to log in, now I'm using windows messenger, but the problem is I'm losing some messages, some don't ge to me, and some of my messages don't go through, it's blooooody irritating.

I thought it was DNS settings and so I used the openDNS settings on my router, it used to solve the problem, but since today it's useless, windows live messenger is totally screwed.

Are there any other DNS servers I could try?
Or anything else I could do?

teraside:mad: :( :o

It's starting to suck!, ahh heck, it could be related, how would I know ? :D Only saw now that it's both IS and SAIX on that thread :)

Okay, I'm still having this issue,

Does anybody have a solution? please try and help, thanks ;)

Maybe try the ISP's DNS servers?
Using any Proxies?
Uninstall / Reinstall Live Messenger?

Hey lilDeath, I've got a new router, so I'm using default DNS settings, I don't know where to change them, so that's sorted, not using any proxy, but I'll try to reinstall ;) I checked if it's not firewall blocked either, but it's not, thanks for the help.

I got a telscum router snorrie, 5102G, it's the same as the billion 5102G it seems ;) Oh yeah, reinstall doesn't work :(

Hier is ook wat ek gekry het.

Clear the Windows Live Messenger proxy settings
Start Messenger.
On the Tools menu, click Options.
Under Connection, click Advanced Settings.
Delete the entries under SOCKS.
Click OK, and then click OK again.

If your computer is running Windows XP, clear the DNS resolver cache
On the taskbar, click Start, and then click Run.

Type cmd, and then click OK.
At the command prompt, type ipconfig/flushdns, and then press ENTER.

If you're still unable to sign in to Messenger
A dial-up connection may be timing out. Wait a few minutes, and then try to sign in again.
If your computer is part of a corporate network, contact your network administrator to make sure that the network allows access to the Messenger service.
Check your firewall settings:
Go to the MSN Web Messenger website.
Click Start MSN Web Messenger, and then try to sign in.
If you can sign in to MSN Web Messenger, but Windows Live Messenger still can't access the Internet, Windows Live Messenger may be blocked by a firewall. You may need to add MSNmsgr.exe to your firewall's allow list. See your firewall's documentation or website for more information on how to add MSNmsgr.exe to your allow list. For more information, you can visit the websites of the following firewall companies:

Jip, ek het al daai goed op die lys gedoen, dit werk boggerol, dis net snaaks windows messenger werk nog ;)
