I want to play, preview them before I convert to divx. I also wonder if divx converter will work without those codecs. I can't play the VOB files.

K-Lite codec pack, download the standard version.

yip. k-lite is good, works better than the "famous" ACE

yes but anything after 5.3 dont work in a good manner in windows 7 .thats why i only use version 5.3
