I do have shortcut keys.. its just they dont work in VLC, that was another big prolem with it, I could probably get them to work...

But still jumping into a vid is a problem.
I haev never found anything that doesnt workin MPC but that works in VLC, might be true though.
I have south park which you can downlaod off the net free in RM, pretty much the only thing. Its just too bigto dl 140mb avis all the time. 34mb RM's look surprisingly good.

But what about global shortcuts? i.e. controlling your audio regardless of the task that you're busy with, without having to maximise the player itself. It's a really useful feature to have which is why I still use Winamp for audio

Sorry I meant multimeadia keys, but still just using shirtcuts isnt as nice as a full menu when you move the mouse, but good enough.

Another version or two or VLC and i'll probably use it..

Windows Media Player 11 for Windows XP offers you unmatched choice and flexibility for your digital media. You can easily manage your libraries of digital music, photos, and video on your computer; explore a new world of music through the integrated URGE music service; and connect with mobile devices so you can have your digital media collection wherever you want it. Windows Media Player 11 is designed to work with all versions of Windows XP Service Pack 2 including Windows XP Home Edition N and Windows XP Professional N.

Please Note If you use Windows Media Player to access a favorite online store, some are not available for this beta release. The following stores are available in the Windows Media Player 11 beta release: Audible, FYE, Live365, Movielink, MSN Music, Napster, Passalong, Puretracks, URGE, Wal-Mart, and XM Radio.

I tried it and reverted back to 10. I like the interface looks, etc. but seemed to be much slower reaction. I couldn't find the online edit tracks feature.

Is this still the beta you are talking about? That has been around for ages, is this a newer version?

I have 11.0.5358.4827 I "upgraded" from .4826 a while ago, no difference obviously. The thing is I have all the album art for all of my music so it looks very nice and I love the new interface. I cant go back to 10 now.. looks too old after a while. But the new one is still bugged to hell. Lyrics dont hsow up if you add them (well not in the lyrics page i mean, you see them on screen) and some album art just doesnt work, plus it is a lot slower, mostly due to all the album art. But in general it works..

Don't like it. The Media player is cool! Only use it to play movies and music video's (K-Lite codec pack helps a lot)...MP3's are played through WINAMP:D !

Someone using something els thats better?
