Windows Media Player 11

I'm having trouble with the indexing service in WMP 11 for Windows Vista. I have selected my music folder to be "monitored", yet my library doesn't update when I add or remove songs in that particular folder. Any ideas?

Does it work if you manually update those folders?

Just go to Add To Library and click okay, it will rescan those folders, but then it should also do it automatically. It can take some time though.

Hiya ~

I use Vista Ultimate for Media Center, and noticed the same thing.
You might want to try and rescan, or close and restart the program. In my opinion it's not Media Player related, but rather a Vista thing.

When editing or adding new folders to the Start menu tree, it also doesn't reflect right away, you have to press F5 for a refresh. Strange, but true...

Tried that, didn't work. I've even tried adding a new folder, yet it still finds no new media. Could this perhaps be a glitch in Vista?
