Windows media player problem

Hey all, I have a strange problem. When I play some dvd's then the music in the movie is like very loud, and the speech very soft. When I play the same dvd through nero showtime, then it's perfect. Why is this? I really just want to use wmp, and no other programs. Please help. Thanks

Im guessing its a fault with the sound settings. Try go to the audio settings/options on the dvd ( given that it only does it with SOME dvd's, these are probably the ones which have this option ) and check if it is either 5.1 enabled or stereo. If its 5.1 and you only have 2 speakers then you are most likely to encounter this problem.

Makes sence, problem is it was a copied dvd. So that audio settings must have been adjusted before copying maybe. Thanks
