Windows Mobile development - tools needed?

I want to start developing stuff for Windows Mobile, especially location-aware apps. I'm a complete n00b, so will start with my first Hello World.

I would appreciate any suggestions on what tools I need.

I've just ordered a VS 2008 Pro MSDN subscription and some C# books. Anything else I should be looking at?

Any tips most appreciated. Thanks!

Good luck, mobile development is sometimes a frustrating experience but very rewarding.

Tips: I never liked using the emulators, they never quite give the feedback you require. Get the device (or a device within the family) you're coding for.

This a hobby or are you starting a career?
