Windows Mobile MMS and GPRS settings

the internet settings for MTN and Vodacom are as follows:

1. Tab on START
2. Tab on SETTINGS
3. Tab on CONNECTIONS
4. Then tab on CONNECTIONS again
5. Tab on ADD A NEW MODEM CONNECTION under MY ISP
6. The name for the connection = INTERNET APN
7. Select a modem = Cellular line (GPRS)
8. Tab on NEXT
9. Access point name = INTERNET
10. Tab on NEXT
11. Username = leave as BLANK
12. Password = leave as BLANK
13. Domain = leave as BLANK
14. Tab on FINISH
15. Tab on OK top right of your screen
16. Tab on OK to right of your screen
17. Then close the settings window by tabbing on the X

Vodacom MMS:

1. Tab on START
2. Tab on SETTINGS
3. Tab on CONNECTIONS
4. Tab on CONNECTION again
5. Under MY Work network tab on ADD A NEW MODEM CONNECTION
6. Type MMS.GPRS as the name for the connection
7. Select CELLULAR LINE(GPRS) as modem
8. Tab on NEXT
9. Type mms.vodacom.net access Point Name
10. Tab on NEXT
11. no user name no password no domain
12. Tab on FINISH
13. Tab on OK , X, X to close settings

the interface on some device might be slightly different but the settings are identical

1. Tab on START
2. Tab on MESSAGING
3. Tab on Menu
4. Tab on mms configuration
5. Tab on Servers
6. Tab on new
7. Tab on SAMPLE SERVER
8. Under Server name replace sample server with MMS
9. Gateway 196.6.128.6
10. Server address - http://mmsc.vodacom4me.co.za
11. connect via work network
12. wap 1.2
save settings

MTN MMS settings:

1. Tab on START
2. Tab on SETTINGS
3. Tab on CONNECTIONS
4. Tab on CONNECTION again
5. Under MY Work network tab on ADD A NEW MODEM CONNECTION
6. Type MMS.GPRS as the name for the connection
7. Select CELLULAR LINE(GPRS) as modem
8. Tab on NEXT
9. Type myMTN as your Access Point Name
10. Tab on NEXT
11. Username = mtnmms, Password = mtnmms
12. Tab on FINISH
13. Tab on OK , X, X to close settings

1. Tab on START
2. Tab on MESSAGING

4. Tab on mms configuration
5. Tab on Servers

Thanks Guy. I'm still getting that error though, so I think that there might be something wrong with that message. *shrug* I did everything exactly like this and it connects to GPRS, but gets an error when trying to download the msg.

Thanks for these settings anyway.

can any give me the MTN phone email settings, my 7610 does not want to recognise the sms settings from the mtn website.

ok i have phoned vodacom data and they said to me that they do not support leaf htc ,They also gave me the jhb number.btw my mms does not work and the wireless drivers for vista dont work either.
I have been busy with the settings for 2 hours already and nothing is happening.
I can understand why a phone like this is so complicated,i mean the manual says..EASY AND FUN TO SEND MMS....what a load of bull.
I have a htcs310 phone.

I found the first part of the settings on my Imate Jasjam. However I don't find this settings. Is this for "smartphone"? How do you configure mms settings on "ppc"?
