Good point about hw changes.

The checks for system changes in Win 10 are different to those in previous versions. The activation threshold number (not visible to user) is a calculation based on motherboard, various CPU parameters incl CPUID, graphics, network i/f, RAM type and amount, BIOS signatures, and several storage (disk) parameters. Based on telemetry data, in Win 10 the algorithm has been tweaked to be more accommodating of disk changes, so OP should be ok.

If a system runs into activation issues, a quick call to Msft Support will resolve things.

Then use windows 10 single language. Weired tho; cause you upgraded from windows 7 it shoud've been Windows 10 Home or Pro

What windows 7 did you have?

I just had a look, my laptop was previously running windows 8.1 single language 64 bit. I was thinking of my previous laptop that had windows 7.

So 8.1Sl upgraded to 10 Home SL. That make more sense? I assume it won't make any difference though? I'll just download a clean version of windows 10 home SL
