Windows Phone models in SA

Hi all

I'm due for an upgrade anytime from the 1st June. I'm a huge Windows Phone 8.1 fan who currently has a Lumia 920..

I want to stick with Win Phone 8.1 but the latest device from all of the networks appears to be the 930..

Does anyone have any insight into what other handsets might be available??

I'm really interested in the HTC One M8 W8 but I've never seen available here and not even HTC locally can tell me anything about it.

Another possible option is to get an HTC One M8 Android and drop a custom Windows Phone ROM on it. Anyone know if this possible?

Do you guys and gals reckon hold onto until Windows 10 Phone drops and get one of the new devices ?

Any one got any opinions??
 
Try the Proline SP4.. actually not that bad and for sub R1000 (takealot sold them recently for R799)

Personally I would wait out for a Lumia Win10 range to come out. 930 been around of a while.
I would stay away from the HTC and rather get a Microsoft device

A Lumia 920/930 can be upgraded to Win10. Running Win10 Preview on my old Lumia 920.
 
So maybe an option is get a Galaxy S6, nice hardware by all accounts, and then get my 920 repaired and upgrade it to Windows 10

There is apparently an announcement coming soon about new flagship models

Wait for 3-4 months and get a Windows Phone 10.
July a new flagship should be released.

Preview Win10 is decent but a little slow. Think it might be a ram issue but I'm living on 512mb?
 
My 920 contract expired last December. It's still going strong, so I'm waiting. I expect the new flagship W10 phones to arrive in SA in December this year.
 
Agreed. Wait for Win10 and the models that will come out soon after that.
