Somewhere far far away.
I need some help from you guys that know Server 2008.

I worked with SME Server before and know how to set this up on there.
I am busy learning myself a bit on Windows Server 2008, but need to find out how to set it up on there.

>> On SME Server I had the server with 2 network cards on the
1 network is connected to ADSL router for the internet connection

The 2nd network card is connected to a network hub and the other PC's
are connected to the hub
The server acted like a gateway for the other PC's

Now how would I be able to set this up in the same or similar way on Windows Server 2008.

Another thing I would also like to try and find out is the see which IP's or
PC's connected to the internet and how much trafic went through them

Thanks in advance... :)

why don't you just add 2 network cards in the Windows 2008 server, and set it up the same way as the Windows 2003 one is?

w.r.t network traffic usage, you'll need some firewall program to manage this.

You can Windows 2008 to do some form of internet sharing, which is what you want I think. I've never used the feature myself as I've always used other solutions. As for the IP's/PC's, you need a third party firewall program to handle that. You may want to look at Microsoft's Threat Management Gateway beta
