Please help I m trying to install windows server 2012 and I m getting the following error

Windows failed to start.A recent hardware or software change might be the cause. To fix the problem:

1. Insert your Windows installation. disc and restart your computer.
2. Choose your language settings, and then click Next
3. Click repair your computer.
If you do not have the disc contact your system administrator or computer manufacturer for assistance

File: \windows\system32\boot\windowload.exe
Status 0xc0000001
Info : The application or operating system couldn't be loaded because a required file is missing or contains errors

What maybe the problem as I am booting from a disk. Also tried to install on virtualbox but I still get the same error. My sysytem is compatible as it I have an dual core E8400@3ghz, ram 4gig 60 gig hard drive

"I managed to solve this one by myself.

It turns out I was right and it was the hard disk, as I expected. This particular drive (Maxtor 6V250F0) has quite a disliking to booting an OS installation off a SATA-I port when attached to a motherboard with an NVidia nForce3 chipset. It will only run off the SATA-II port (initially). "
