Windows update error

For about two weeks now I have got a notification that I need to install security update KB946648. It fails every time I try.

From the event viewer I get:

I am using Win XP Pro SP2

Clicking on the help link shows no information available.

Any help / Advice / Workaround much appreciated.

Open a command window and register the following DLL's
net stop wuauserv (this stops the update service)
regsvr32 wuapi.dll
regsvr32 wuaueng1.dll
regsvr32 wuaueng.dll
regsvr32 wucltui.dll
regsvr32 wups2.dll
regsvr32 wups.dll
regsvr32 wuweb.dll
net start wuauserv (this restarts the update service)
