This is in the context of your own personal PC or laptop. Do you leave it on yes/no or do you just do a manual update every few weeks?

What you guys recommend?

I set it to "Check for updates but let me choose whether to download and install them."

This way I get notified about updates, but have complete control over what gets installed and when.

Yes, this is the best option -especially if you like a older version of something eg: Media Player etc

Mine is disabled.....

I download the updates after every "patch Tuesday" .....
that way i can update my live system & also integrate the latest updates onto the CD/DVD ... so that next time I do a format & install, my system is up to date by the time the desktop loads & I don't have to go through the whole win-update process again :)

What software do you use to integrate the updates with the Windows installation disk? I'm assuming you're using Windows 7.
