As i was backing up my documents on One Drive app .

Somehow Windows activated Automatic Maintenance then windows update eat whole 1GB data leftover. Came into notice that while seeing flag with dark clock. Got SMS from Mweb that my data has been depleted after that I checked online got horrific shock. Bill stood at R228--> OOB
But also noticed Mweb capped OOB to R350.
In future how can I avoid this OOB shark and Automatic maintenence of windows?

Bongo like food. How food get? Food yum. Bongo lie down now?

As a serious answer, yes you can avoid going out of bundle by getting MWEB to switch you to R0 cap for going out of bundle. That way you don't incur any additional costs and you're capped.

What you can also do is put your Windows Updates to notify before downloading. Windows doesn't just "somehow" activates automatic updates, it prompts you with a choice. So I'd also suggest you read the screen and exactly what it asks before acting. Have had so many people moan about malware and additional toolbars and adverts or their PC "suddenly" acting strangely, when all they do is hit the "Next" or "Finish" button as quickly as humanly possible.

Not saying its not an issue but that's not the real OOB shark .. more like being nibbled on by a OOB guppy!

Hit the nail on the head.
My wife is the only one that uses her tablet yet she tries to crap my son and myself out for installing random crap loaded with malware.
I told her to stfu and stop acting like a total newb on the pc.
I compared her to her father who I removed all admin rights from his pc because "Hackers were hacking into his facebook and pc to install viruses and malware".

Sure buddy, less porn more brains maybe.

He once told us he visited a Thai 'model' site in search of model aircraft.
But somehow it managed to visit a thai 'hire a model' site.
LOL

Settings settings, as the other guys have mentioned just set windows to notify before download and it'll never download without your knowledge until you/someone changes that not the machine itself. Windows 8 (if you have it) also has a nice setting where you can specify a network as a metered connection which tells windows to limit it's data usage
