I would like to know, how many of you download all the Windows updates? Are they really necessary? I would think SP2 is good enough?

i get them all ... and since sp2 there have been tons of security updates ... so no, sp2 is not good enough ... and if you wanna keep ure box secure .. then update :)

Oh I've always got 'em ..but then, having Sentech access, I basically don't care about silly/dumbass 1gig/3gig caps :D ..(tho' that autopatcher looks handy vinesh, ta!)

I also use Autopatcher. Basically what it is, is all the updates for that month compiled in to one file with an installer, so it automatically installs them. It also includes things like Java, latest MSN, latest Flash, etc. You need to get the latest "Full" (or Lite) and all the updates after that. I think the latest full is April, so you need April (full), May (update) and June (update) when it comes out in the middle of the month
