I get this occasionally.. Let me guess, i'm getting this because i'm using a limited license key:(, otherwise, what are the disadvantages if i ignore the error! I didn't crack vista, i used a friend's CD... He bought legally

If you haven't been locked out yet, then you get 2-3 chances to re-arm vista, it's legal.

Run/cmd - command prompt type

"slmgr.vbs -rearm"

BTW: When i installed vista, it never asked for product key... Where/how do i insert this?

My attempt to rearm..... Error: 0xC004F025 : Access denied. The request required elevated privilages...

You have to run this as administrator. Its all in that link in any case, and how to do it unlimited times :)

It should ask for the product key, every Vista install I've seen has..

You can change it in Control Panel -> System or just by going to My Computer -> Properties.

My apologies, found't

Lol nvm then :)

btw, are you actually going to buy Vista now? You won't be able to use your friends key again..

Oops! I think my Vista is locked! I'm even scared to reboot. Al of a sudden the Product ID status is : Not Activated... The key is : Not Available...

I think when i reboot i'm not gonna be allowed in

Just backup your data, format your HDD, and install XP.
That should fix your problems.
