Hi Guys just want to know who is running WOW in Windows Vista Ultimate or below and if u are how is it running and have u had any problems with it?

Ive been warned its not compatible

thus the main reason i wont get vista

i run wow on vista and XP and it runs fine in vista - although slightly slower.
My boet runs wow in vista at 1280*800 with everything maxed on his geforce 7600 laptop and gets 60fps flat.

The bottom line is that vista will run it slightly slower(5fps approx.) but if you have a fast graphics card to make up for it then you dont even notice the difference.

I've played on using both XP and Vista Ultimate. Only difference is that Vista plays the game slightly slower - as Nickd pointed out. Just make sure you have at least 2GB of RAM and 3GB if you don't want any stutters (especially when flying into a populated Shattrah.)

Runs fine on Vista X64 Ultimate - I have a fairly old graphics card (6800gs), and it runs without any hickups at 1680 by 1050.

These vista doom prophets should really get with the times.

I agree

I have been using Vista since RC1 and have had no problems whatsoever, i find the security and general ease of use much better than XP - have not even had a single crash yet (even when i was using the BETA).

AFAIK Microsoft is going to stop supporting XP soon anyway, so whether the prophets like it or not Vista is here to stay, unless you get a Mac :P

Running Vista - touch wood - have not had any problems

Running wow on vista no problems.. got all my settings maxed out....

Id rather wait for Service pack 1 for vista before gettin it

I installed the RC1 of SP1 and had problems with my network so uninstalled it :p

I've been on Vista since its RC1 release. Had a few...maybe more than a few bumps, but I don't have any issues at the moment.

Something must be wrong with my setuo then...because I do sometimes get lowering of framerates and stuttering when I enter big cities.

I'm running it on max settings at 1280 x 1024. My specs are as follows:

Intel Core 2 Duo 6600 @ 2.4GHz
2 GB DDR2 800 Kingston RAM
Nvidia GeForce 8800 GTS 640MB.

Am I missing something?

That is pretty weird!
My other specs -3.7Ghz Pentium D (overclocked from 3Ghz)
3GB RAM
6800gs (overclocked)

Doesn't stutter at all :\

that setup should not stutter at all, something else must be causing it

Are you using the latest Nvidia drivers? There problems with WoW using the earlier Vista drivers.
