Hi there
I sit with a 64 bit AMD Processor Machine. What will my benefits be if I upgrade to Microsofts Win XP 64 bit edition. Is it faster, more stable or what can I expect?
Any comments please.
Thanx

Windows 2003 64Bit

I've used Windows 2003 64Bit and it moved! A lot more stable and applications open a lot quicker than on Windows XP 32bit. I haven't tried Windows XP 64bit yet, though. Any have any experiences with it?

Yes, I use Windows XP x64 and I thik it is great. It is very fast and very stable. I definitely recommend it!

@Lionking - are planning to use Windows x64 for work or games?

I recently "upgraded" to windows 64bit. Heres some advice: dont go 64bit. You need to download drivers for lan, graphics card, motherboard, chip etc. Also there aren't so many essential applications which work with it. I have to use these crappy firewall because there are like none compatibloe with 64bit and I had to use another crappy anti-virus program which I just uninstalled. You will also findother applications won't work with 64bit. They give you a 32bit media player but you do get a 64bit internet explorer which I don't use. I'm going back to 32bit as soon as i can.

Just don't take a leap into the dark void of 64bit.
