Slow file loading - puzzled !!

Without doubt, this is the WRONG place to post that.

Sorry - I didn't mention that this issue had re-occurred since upgrading to SP3, so I thought the post could be valid here. Anyhow, never mind, I will take my troubles elsewhere !!

I've re-installed with XP SP3 Performance Edition, and Windows boots up before the little dots even have a chance to reach the other side.
