To paraquote a hoary old chestnut I think I saw here once upon a twice: "never underestimate the bandwidth of a station wagon full of backup tapes"I have service pack 3... and all the autoPatcher updates since SP3 for XP and for Office 2007 on DVD if anyone wants. Can collect from me in Joburg, or I will drop off at a reasonable distance.
To paraquote a hoary old chestnut I think I saw here once upon a twice: "never underestimate the bandwidth of a station wagon full of backup tapes"..that said, I have SP3 and Office 2003/7 latest SPx already, are the AutoPatcher updates enough of a big deal for me to want them?
..and that right there does it for me! Without WSUS on a network (much less a haphazard collection of desktops, etc. in a home) I won't run autoupdate, it just kills bandwidth. So, as I definitely want a copy of that DVD, where to from here?Office 2007 no... AutoPatcher XP yes... there have been quite a few updates since SP3. The AutoPatcher XP update CD (since SP3) comes in at 696 Mb! But that includes the AutoPatcher recommended software as well (very nice useful stuff). a few of those updates are crucial, but you probably have them already if you have auto-update enabled. I would only suggest for new systems.

I just got the download link from Microsoft on an international account, switched to local and downloaded it![]()
