Anyone else think it's as cool as I do???

There has to be someone here that likes it???? I'm not talking about the olden day old school type. I'm talking about the new stuff. Todays windsurfing is crazy. Windsurfers are super cool.

I'm looking for a forum that chats about windsurfing. I Joined this one http://forum.schoolofsurf.com.au but it's an Australian one.

I like this forum! Looks cool, even has a section for women etc. But nope, only aussie.

Anything in South Africa?

Can't we make one similar to School Of Surf? Or is there no demand for it in SA?

Get with the times. Windsurfing isn't so cool anymore since kitesurfing took over the scene. We don't need no stinkin' roofracks! :p :whistle:
 
No, the tea bags arnt taking over, they just experienced a surge in the sport. Like windsurfing did years back. It'll settle down in a few years.

Also, if you\re going to be mean about another sport, obviously there is some kind of problem? What is it then? Envy? Insecure? Is windsurfing a threat?

There is also the fact, which many kitesurfers and folk like you don't know about, and that is there are still more windsurfers in the world than kiters. :) There are also still more google searches on windsurfing than kitesurfing and if you use ad words you'll find the same thing.

But, let me tell you why windsurfers are cool. Windsurfers don't have issues. You'll often find a windsurfer has no problem owning a kite for the light winds, but a kiter doing windsurfing? Nah, and I'll tell you why. Those who can't windsurf, kitsurf. It's about ability. You ask anyone why they kitesurf. The response is, that it's easier. No wonder most of them have beer guts.

Don't think I'm been mean to the sport, I'm not. I like kitesurfing, it's just the people in the sport. I think its great when the wind is down, but windsurfing is better in stronger winds.

Not being mean, just kidding with you. I used to windsurf as well and enjoyed every moment of it. At our beachclub we have several windsurfers as well, nice guys, and kiters who also windsurf now and then. :cool:

Therefore the conclusion is that windsurfers are also rather vain! :D

On a cool scale I would have to say that from my experience being a surfer, or even a kite surfer, is still regarded as being cooler.

EDIT : In saying this I like all "extreme" sports and if it were not for the costs I'd happily give windsurfing a go.

I would not advise any windsurfing in PE today.

You could end up in East London!!!!
