Winpower for QP1000 ups?

Hi Chaps,
Am trying to get this square one model qp1008 ups to operate with winpower but the auto detect and com port config options are greyed out in winpower so it won;t detect my ups.
Have tried null modem and pin to pin serial cable.
Anyone know what I have done wrong here?
Need to shut my unattended pc down when eksdom cuts my power again.

yea is working 100 %
had the wrong serial cable.
needed a null modem cable,mine was some strange cable for a cell power ups.

I have a Powercom UPS and I need network support for my UPS, but UPSMON doesn’t support it. so a friend on this forums told me to use winpower, and he told me that that UPS works on winpower, but I cant managed to make it work, it give me a "communication Lost: check connection and port setting" I have no idea what that means?
