winrar password protected

Yikes, good luck with that. You can only search for Brute Force crackers (which are only as good as their dictionaries). But if the archive password you are cracking is not a common dictionary term, then you are almost guaranteed to fail.

You would be better off finding the source of the archive... Google the name of the archive... and find which site it originated from. Nine times out of ten the password is the name of the site.

Yes, there are RAR password crackers. However, it's commonly accepted that any password longer than 9 characters is not worth trying to crack (it takes more time than it's worth to run through all the options.)

Do what Garyvdh suggested with google. If that fails, delete the archive and move on with your life.

cracking any password, or key for that matter, of any significant length requires a lot of work.... in the form of 88 processors attacking it in parallel

Forget it. RAR has AES256 ecryption. Not going to fly unless its a really stupid password that can be broken via dictionary attack.
