So my wiper blades don't seem to be as effective any more. They weren't replaced at the last service, so I'd like to replace them now.

BMW wants just under R1,000 for a set of OEM blades, which is fairly expensive. I phoned Midas, and they sell a set for R174 - Champion brand.

Has anyone used Champion branded wiper blades before? Is there any other place that sells Bosch or BMW blades cheaper?

Try Autozone or Goldwagen

Thank you! :)

I have a VW - dealership wanted around R500 to change mine but went to Midas and got those for about R150 I think.

They look and work exactly like the OEM ones.. really can't tell the difference.

Also try merc. Best to stick to bosch, you can also try a bosch service station.

go to bmw parts and just ask for the rubbers itself, you can change it, the quote they have you for 1k is for the full wiper. I bought just the rubber blade for my e46 for 150 from bmw

I would also recommend bosch check your local midas or the bosch service station if I can recall i paid around R80-R100 for a rear wiper blade beginning of the year

If you're going to stick to Bosch, just go to Diesel Electric directly and buy them. Theyre the agents for all automotive Bosch products.

I ended up going direct to BMW in the end.

It's a hefty price to pay, but man, do they wipe without as much as a single drop left over :D

I would have only gone with Bosch if I didn't get direct from the stealership - just battled to find stock at outlets.

Good to see Genetic got his sorted. I'll throw in my 2c all the same.

Somebody stole my wipers last month (bosch) and I replaced them with a set of those cheap and cheerful Champion ones. I was skeptical, but they work perfectly and I won't be buying expensive branded blades again.

I saw this thread a bit too late. I got my last pair of Bosch Aero Twins from the owner of the TeamFiesta forum; paid R480 a pair.

If anyone wants in future, feel free to drop me a pm.
