You'd have thought that Covid trials taught us that preventing death is only a stage V trial measure, ie up to stage IV they only test for depth of government pockets, breadth of people's gullibility and what the **** white people did on the beaches all day long?

Well, yes if it leads to human lives being saved and/or improved.

Of course we can debate the methods and dictate how far experiments can go (we did that with human cloning) but ultimately we humans determine what we can and shouldn't do.

While we all would like the animals not to suffer, we have to acknowledge that research is inherently a trail and error process and as such there will be unfortunate situations that cannot be avoided no matter how hard we try if we want to succeed in our endeavours.

Even though these are ethical concerns we weigh the pros and cons everytime a vaccine is tested. Neuralink is akin to a cure for various human ailments and only the tertiary benefits are what we as the general public are interested in, the cyberpunk future of our fantasies.
