Guys try the speed test at http://www.auditmypc.com/internet-speed-test.asp
They have a high speed international connection and I usually find them pretty accurate. However international tests can be strange because of what Telkom are doing at any time, so i always like to do 2 or 3 within say 20 minutes of each other to get a better idea.

Why not allow for a self-install option. And I don't think that using a persons own cabling, mounting hardware and masts will interfere with the network. There are a lot of capable people out there that can do the installation themselves especially if some good instructions are given. I see the R1100 as a huge consideration as to why people will be reluctant to get the service and I think you should at least consider such an option.

We will consider anything if we can be convinced that you know what you are doing. It's one thing installing our equipment, but quite another when you decide to use a homemade POE to save R50 and wire it incorrectly thus sending 48V through a network data wire, or even worse through your PC!

Also we retain ownership of the unit as part of the agreement, and we would need some sort of guarantee of install quality. If the unit falls off the roof after the first storm, who is going to pay for it? Not the guy who was trying to save R500 by doing it himself I can assure you!

I will post some pictures of what an install looks like so you can see what is involved.

Thats a pretty damn good speed for speakeasy, because on that server it takes an average and usually starts at around 100kb and has too build up, speed often drops for a few seconds on my connection so i get around 400kb on speakeasy.
Oh and I use a wireless router too. Have a laptop connected aswell.

The exclusive really sounds pprewtty good, speeds are okay if that international can just get a bit beter or what?
But the main thing is that the company sounds really reasonable and professional and they know what they are doing. Tnkas forbringign a good un-corperate attitude into the scene guys. I'm shure your support 9phone a techie i'm geussing) will kick most nig companies asses.

Thas speed there is Iburst 1mb. I'm shure Exclusive wont be as fast but its the cap and cost that makes it worthwhile. Guys, asseblief move down to suthern burbs soon... i'd like to try out your connection, really. 5mb torretns and 500-800kb internet around 7BG or more if needed sounds really good to me for only R500.

Ja that uncapped thing is also catching my eye :D What ya say guys can it reach Bergvliet? :D would love to know.I can always just flog the iBurst UTD and antenna and keep the UTU for mobile stuff,that seems pretty cool.

Hey Jastin, Im not shure what it is with that site but the speeds are amazing hey? I alos got a result almost exactly like your first one, but not as good as your 980kb.

Its pretty good to know though, I mean 1mb on international is actually probably the best in SA (commercially). besides HSDPA on a really really good day with amazing signal, this is iburst 6km froma base station on almost any night.

Well I guess that proves iBurst's potential, passes with flying colours :D Doesn't that mean that other international networks then are slow??? :confused: :confused: Aaaaah something to ponder, I need a drink now. :D
