I doubt very much it takes 12 years and 16 months to pay for R1200-R2000 worth of hardware for a client.

1200-2000 is my estimate. However according to Xclusiv:

That works out to a profit per client of R15.63 / month. That Prometheus is what has been quoted.

Kind of leaves two questions hanging though:
1. Who invests in this kind of business model?
2. What is the difference between 12 years and 16 months and 13 years and 4 months? :D
 
With regards to bandwidth

If i get a standard package: do i get 7 G per user
If i get a pro package will i get allowed more bandwidth???

What if I have 10 Users ( i:e my mom etc ) but i only use a total of 7 Gigs do i still pay the Business R997 amount???
 
Hehe yes the forums were getting too intense for us and we got scared :)

But seriously, things have just been insane the past couple weeks and we've all been running our butts off trying to satisfy customers. Of course we have also had a few teething problems and oddities (even though WIFI is a mature technology there are still a huge number of challenges to overcome!) and we have been working overtime to keep the network running smoothly.

I will get back to all the comments and questions in due course, I haven't run away, but give me some time and I will give you any answers you want.

p.s. the comment about it taking 12 years to pay back equipment was a joke! No-one (except maybe Telkom) would install equipment that would be obsolete a quarter way in getting a return on investment!

xclusive, i know how busy u guys are but.... How are u supposed to get more customers if we have to w8 weeks for a reply?? I was ganna get wireless through you but your responses took 4 eva, even emails! I've decided to get ADSL now!
