We are busy building a new power station in Lephalale and are consulting with MTN and Vodacom for improved coms on site. This project is currently the biggest construction project in SA and at peak time will accommodate up to 10 000 contractors on site. See it at longitude 27.55658073556804 latitude -23.71055803081684.

If you email me I'll send you the link for G-Earth.

We need to make contact with representatives of Cell C/Virgin so that we can work with them to also provide their communication infrastructure.

Any idea who we should be dealing with or a contact number that we can phone?

Any assistance in this regard will be appreciated.

Wireless Lephalale

We have a Wireless network covering Lephalale and will have a site covering the Madupe development withing the next 3 Weeks...

Would this help you..

I also have users at the Medupi construction site who need comms.
Do you guys have a solution yet?

Fire them

If I was the CELL/C, I would be throwing my toys out of the cot in my sales department.

The biggest Construction contract and no visit from the Sales Team.

Me thinks the sales persons for the area are previously disadvantaged who are now disadvantaging the hand that feeds them.

One piece of advise, please do not hookup with the piepie joeler WISPS who have already posted

Cell C does have coverage in Lephalale and will participate in discussions for improved comms at the new power station.

UWB, ZigBee, mesh networking, software-defined radio, or smart antennas are some of the most popular wireless technologies on the market today. If you were developing a wireless infrastructure for a business site, which one would you choose? why?

Recommend WIMAX

WiMax is still best suited for the areas being mentioned. It can deliver the high throughput required for the large number of users and support voice & video etc. Nomadic mobility possible. Good evolution to 4G from WIMAX in rural type environments.

Medupi Internet Service

Hi guys, i have neglected looking at this forum for a long time.
We have network coverage over the Medupi site and other areas.

Visit www.screamer.co.za for more pricing, Screamer is also planning on
expanding Wimax to Lephalale.
